Activated carbon is a kind of porous carbonaceous material. It has highly developed pore structure and is an excellent adsorbent. Its adsorption is achieved by physical adsorption and chemical adsorption. Because of the difference of raw materials and manufacturing process, different activated carbon filters should be selected for water treatment in different industries.
1． Coal activated carbon:
Coal-based activated carbon is mainly used for filling, dechlorination, deoiling and purification of municipal drinking water, purified water, distilled water, ultra-pure water and other manufacturing equipment, as well as advanced purification of various industrial wastewater.
Coal-based activated carbon is made from high-quality coal by carbonization, cooling, activation and washing. Its appearance is generally black cylindrical activated carbon, amorphous coal granular activated carbon, also known as broken carbon. The other is cylindrical activated carbon, also known as cylindrical carbon, generally made from powdered raw materials and binders by kneading, extrusion molding and carbonization, activation and other processes.

B. Activated carbon pollution, due to its porous structure, provides a good living environment for microbial growth. For most water departments, water pollution is usually intermittent or sudden, and most of them are intermittent. However, due to the growth of microorganisms, it must be replaced regularly, which increases the operating costs.
